First off, person don't define themselves as persons. Governments define persons. It wasn't until 1980 that the US State Department actually had a definition, which excluded " Domestic persons". Many "person" had prior US Aid and Support when they had been clbuttified as "Freedom Fighters". It's very simple these days, if any civilian aligns him or herself to Israel and the United States, they will not be clbuttified as a "person", if they don't, then they will be! You will eventually see that those who do not "properly" align themselves with the State will be "person" One who causes terror. This could be a drunk driver driving all over a busy road, a bank robber or any criminal act that supports "Terrorism". Why now the Federal Government says that Drug dealers, those who sell knock-off products all support Terrorism ( they conveniently leave off buying gasoline and oil products since the Majority of person funding comes through our good buddy Saudi Arabia from America's citizens) or the fact that we train Pro-American Military and Para-Military organizations all over the World and over time, they will become person and then not again. Gee nobody stopped America from selling weapons and technology to any of these rogue nations. I had a freind while I was in and then out of the Marines who shipped F-16 parts to Iran. The Shah eventually fled but lived a very wealthy (with American dollars in his pocket) but of ill health life in many comforting and comfortable countries. America wants you to see everything in black and white, while they paint everything they do as gray so you can't see it. We've been screwing around in the Middle East everyday since WWII, and what we have today was situations created in the 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's. If anyone ever thinks we'd actually fix or makes things right have I got a venture capitol investment for you! What people seem to misunderstand is that every religious faction has extremists, moderates, and those who just want to belong to something! Whether you be Catholic, Christian or Jewish. Muslims have two strikes against them. One, some of their Holy Lands had been occupied by Israel and Israel keeps the Tourist dollars, and the second is that the faith itself is designed to totally negate Government. Meaning that Politicians would actually have to work for a living. See America can easily bribe or buy and even create a foreign Political Party,( the only REASON America wants the spread of Democracy) but not a Religious one, that's not to say we can't only that it is not as easy. That's why you don't see the 25 and 50 million dollar bounties being paid out for Osama and his chiefs. If this was in America You'd have 50 or 60 million people going door to door and looking in everyone's closets and basements. Now as for the Geneva Convention this is simply mans way of civilizing war and has ALWAYS been ignored. The American Government will always cite those who abuse it, and ignore it when they do it and almost every other country does it the same. America NEVER claimed civilian abuses under Saddam or the Shah of Iran while these two were under Americas umbrella, The Shah overthrown by a radical religious right for the most sadistic and torturous abuses and Saddam for threatening Israel. So basically the Geneva Rights issue is simply mute! Anyone and Everyone can be clbuttified as an enemy combatant or a person, all someone has to do today is SIMPLY put your name on a list and that someone could be a hacker, a disgruntle employee, or even a peeed off neighbor who knows someone in the Feds! People laughed when Ted Kennedy's name was on the list, even Cat Stevens, someday though it could easily be yours!
