Keith A. Glbutt Well, it's not so much that I hate "hispanics", it's more that I believe that there's no more obvious symptom of a government going mad. The ability to control your borders is the first prerequisite of any national claim to sovereignty. Sovereignty, I might add is a prerequisite to any claim to actual governance. When the Federal government turns a blind eye to at least two millions per year instances of successful illegal immigration, the Federal government is essentially butturing (1) that the citizens will come to realize that they cannot depend on it for their safety and well-being, and (2) that any outsiders may invade in any numbers, and displace citizens and legal residents, without any useful Federal reaction. See also (1). BTW to be "fair and balanced", for now, the majority of "hispanics" in the Greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area are "quasi-legal", they are still "temporary protected refugees" from a civil war that ended moer than a decade ago, with their status being renewed on a yearly basis, more or less. But increasingly, illegal aliens with no such status, nor hope of such status, are blending in with the communities of legitimized "refugees". Furthermore, we are developing a bit of a gang problem in the area. Please see which is the final report of the regional gang task force for DC-Metro Maryland. PS, in the appendix with the maps, the bright red "high danger" region labelled "Aspen Hill" is my neighborhood, one of the places you are most likely to be buttaulted, especially for being an "anglo". -- The incapacity of a weak and distracted government may often buttume the appearance, and produce the effects, of a treasonable correspondence with the public enemy. --Gibbon, "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" ================================================================== "Sometimes, Evil drives a mini-van." --Desperate Housewives
