Thanks again, Eliot Katz *** Benefit for the War Resisters League, Aug. 27, 2006: On the evening of Sunday, August 27th, 7pm, at The Medicine Show, 549 W. 52nd Street (near 11th Ave.), 3rd Fl., New York City, there will be a poetry reading to benefit the War Resisters League. The theme of the event will be honoring the work of poets Allen Ginsberg and Ernesto Cardenal. The August 27th event will be part of a weeklong series of readings at The Medicine Show and Cornelia Street Cafe focusing on the wide-ranging influence of Walt Whitman on poets from South and North America. The poets and speakers scheduled to appear on the August 27th event are: Chris Brandt, Sandra Maria Esteves, David Henderson, Eliot Katz, Rochelle Kraut, David McReynolds, Urayoan Noel, Bob Rosenthal, and Liz Werner.
