It is unfortunate but that's exactly how it is...and where its going. whats not mentioned in this equation is that such activity also decimates the US govts tax base... I used to pay 30 to 40k a year in income taxes, now...zip. There are millions of us. Soon fully half if the US work force will retire...people at the upper end of the pay scales...not to be replaced in the tax base, but either not at all, or by cut rate people who will not earn enough to pay any significant taxes. This will defund government, a govt that is paying 100k or more a year to most retiring fire and police people...at age 51... annuities worth 3 to 5 million dollars each, on a career in which they earned less than a million dollars. absolute fraud (done by spiking the last years income with bogus overtime). The money to pay that will have to come from the productive clbutt in the end.... now made into home 'owners' by the real estate bubble. These will have to be taxed to absolute ruins in order to fund government. That is already happening in some areas. Its going to go ballistic fast. That pressure to pay more taxes, from lower incomes, will kill the economy...and the sales tax income govt needs. The bottom line problem is that our US govt is bloated beyond the productive capacity to pay for it.... like a cancer it is killing its host. That is not to say that the outsourcing mess is not a disaster. it is. Combined the US standard of living will drop dramatically, the standard of living in Calcutta will rise .001%.... because of the surplus of trained people in India, there will not be enough of demand for more talent to drive up the rates...those will stay low, if they rise, and as more learn the skills, corporations will drive the rates down again...its a race to the bottom. a solution: Individuate yourself from the taxable base. Live in ways that do not cause you to work yourself to rest for money. Then stay healthy, and be decent to yourself primarily...that will breed decency toward others...and from that health and happyness will ensue as the rest of the diseased culture takes itself out from over work. Other options are to jump in and hope you can ride one bogus bubble or the other to an easy retirement... a civil service job etc. I meet those types. Its a something for nothing grasping mentality. That seems to polute those people somehow, in ways I dont want anything to do with. It disconnects them from whats just and decent or something like that, their brain function diverges from Life...into great concern about any fly spec or scratch on their car...for which they will sue you if possible... the anti thesis of actual humanity in some aspects. BOYCOTT KFCI'm SO peeed at them now! We've been eating there for years, sometimes once a week, and they said they used healthy vegetable oil. But it seems they've been using... One can step out of that loop entirely...there is great satisfaction ...and there is sufficiency in that. Phil Scott
