As a white (non-gay) male, I have persistently stood up for persecuted minorities at the risk of my job. I lost 2 jobs in the past 25 years. The first case was protecting an Asian American who applied for a management position (she did not deserve it but the manager that made the decision spread racial slurs about her during the process) and another female that was partially black (but I did not know that at the time) who was harrbutted because it became known that she was loveually attracted to other females. Having said all of this, I have never (yet) seen blatant direct persecution of a white non-gay male, but I have seen A LOT of environmental persecution. This is when the "environment" (workplace culture) makes it a liability to be a white non-gay male. Most often you see white males getting pbutted by even though they are the stronges candidate. I spent more than half my career in San Francisco so I have hired and promoted a very diverse collection of people. In San Francisco and many cities with similar factors, the white male (unless he is gay, the only way a white male can get protection from an advocacy group and some have actually faked being gay for precisely this reason) is nearly on the lowest rung of society's ladder. This is the current situation that has been getting steadily worse since I first noticed it in the early 90s. During the huge influx of workers chasing Bay Area tech jobs, it became much worse and more obvious. I have seen men from Pakistan hiring only others from...guess and I have seen a man from the Phillipines defrauding the Immigration documents required to keep a fellow countrymen in the country and on the job illegally. This was prior to September 11 2001 but if continuted up to at least 18 months ago that I know for sure and more than likely is still the current situation. I could go on, but this is a depressing topic and I come here for the bike racing and not the OT political threads. I can't stand to see morons spreading PC garbage without offering my testimony though.
