REAL "Gangs of New York" 1809

Indeed they do. But my problem with the liberal bias is that it is presented as if it is not biased. Sure, Fox News calls itself "fair and balanced," but I don't think even they believe that. However, the liberal approach to news has been spread so far and wide that I think its abuses are far more egregious. Two I can think of off the top of my head:

1) A news story that appeared on many news sites (not just liberal ones) which cited a study, concluding that black people received poorer health care than white people. Well, of course, that's true but... I suspect what the data actually said was that *poor* people received poorer health care than wealthy people. That makes a big difference when you start trying to pinpoint the problems in the health care industry and the solutions for them.

2) A news story that went around the world and back which was about a 28-year-old Pakistani woman who was gang-raped. As a result six people were sentenced to rest (liberal activists being against the rest penalty except when its for gang rape of a woman). Utterly ignored in the feminist hullaballoo was the fact that the woman's 12-year-old brother was also gang-raped. There were no calls for justice for him, nor did he receive a payment from the Pakistani government as the sister did. Most of the rest penalties were eventually overturned (some of the convicts did not even participate in the rape), and that was portrayed as an oppressive injustice to the woman. Sorry, but I think the 12-year-old boy had it tougher than the 28-year-old woman.
