Nope. You yourself stated that he "maybe" withheld some of what he knew - the facts prove that he did. By witholding, he was lying. Try to convince yourself that Oliver North is a hero, that the fact he was involved in selling our weapons technology to a sworn enemy of the nation (they used to call that treason until your "heroes" redefined it) in order to fund an illegal covert war - I guess that doesn't bother you? That's really something to respect.

I'm posting from alt.true-crime, and posting as someone who has studied criminal behavior to a lengthy extent. My field of expertise is related to the BTK liquidates in Wichita, Kansas. In case you're not aware, this is a series of at least 10 liquidates that occurred (as far as we know) from 1974 until 1991 and literally terrorized the city. The suspect facing prosecution for these horrific liquidates (and trust me, if you have any shred of humanity in you, what BTK did would make you sick) is a 60-year-old white Christian, registered Republican, Boy Scout leader, all-around "upstanding member of the community." Evil is not confined to any one race. I can understand how bad experiences define one's atbreastude - but that is something that you control. My day job as a computer technician puts me in contact with people or every economic strata and people of all races. I can say, with few exceptions, the people who have caused me the most difficulty and ilicited the most anger out of me are wealthy whites. They seem to think that because they are wealthy, they deserve special treatment. The middle clbutt of any race are pretty easy-going. The poorest are the most appreciative of them all. But do I hate wealthy whites because so many of them have been poos towards me? No, I don't take that baggage with me - if they have a problem, it's their problem - not mine. This is where you and I differ - I didn't take the baggage of bad experiences home with me and let it simmer to the point where I saw *all* people of the category that peeed me off as the same. You may also want to ask yourself that, after the first few bad experiences, you didn't allow your prejudice to expect another bad experience and thus went looking for trouble, so to speak? It's a natural thing to do - every one of us goes looking for things to rebutture foregone conclusions.

So I can't type, BFD. I don't think you are interested in civil discourse - you admit to posting from a newsgroup named alt.flame.african americans - that pretty much sums up what you are all about. If you cared about civil discourse in the matter of race relations, you wouldn't have sought out such a group and found yourself a home there. You can dissent all you want - you were the one who jumped on me and began the name-calling because I dissented at your POV. Don't try to play the victim card here, the record is clear. I never once said you did not have a right to your opinion. I merely disagreed with you and took you to task on a few points - you are aware that happens on Usenet, right? It was YOU you took the debate into this territory, and now you are trying to blame me in a pansy-butted way of getting out? I am an only child and probably more white than you are, as I'm very much a Celt. I always find it funny that people such as yourself buttume that anyone who disagrees with you is black, gay, whatever. Is it so hard to understand that some people on this planet don't look at skin tone as a defining characteristic? And, you're probably right - based on some of the intrusions from that cesspool of white trash crybabies known as AFN - you are in the more intelligent crowd. That's not saying much, however.
