Yeah, I know what kind of designs some of these "professionals" come up with. Because I used to be in that business back in the '80's. (In Linden, NJ.)

So you received 1 call, or none? Hey, I can't argue with success (though a 4% response rate might be a little on the low side). But if you can convert both those responses into customers, you're doing good.

Anyway, aside from the copy, I think your flyer might benefit from a little touch-up. I'm offering to do it for you for free, if you'd like. (And I won't f*** with your copy.) And I still have a few contacts in Jersey from the old days. I can make a few calls and see if I can find a printer willing to do the job for you if you'd like. (I'm in California now.)

Good help is always hard to find. So rat her out to "la migra" (INS), why don't you? As well as the employer who hired her.

Hey, it's your business. As long as the customer is willing to pay your price, and you feel that you are being adequately compensated, who am I to complain?

Hey, that's life in the big city! It's no better out here (in fact, it's probably WORSE).

Nope, I don't know very much about the janitorial business.

It suggests it, at least.

Fine. Perhaps we can find a way to word this better to convey this message?

But you ARE established -- and have the experience to go with it. Don't you think that is another point that you can promote yourself with?

Because if they don't, they won't use them as references.

There are plenty of Americans who don't pay taxes and suck up to welfare. And vice versa, there are also plenty of immigrants who pay taxes and don't suck up to welfare.

And that's what's more important to a prospective client than the former.

No, actually, I've been here nearly 18 years. (And in the early years, I used to have my telephone # in my .signature UNIX name for signature file, which appeared in EVERY post.) If it's a business phone, what's the big deal?

It's been that way for YEARS. Johnson Park ALWAYS floods when it rains heavily. And you can't use the Landing Lane bridge. (Remember, I graduated from Rutgers.) It's even worse up in Wayne and surrounding areas along the Pbuttaic river. Up there, entire neighbourhoods are built right on the floodplain.

And you should see what happens to Rt. 22 between Mountainside and Scotch Plains whenever what they call a "frog-strangler" in Texas comes down in the area.

BTW, "mountain"? What mountain? Ain't no mountains in New Jersey. I grew up in Colorado, where we have REAL mountains. Even here, I can look to the north in the winter and see snow-capped mountain peaks. Where can you see that in "Joisey"? -- Theodore A. Kaldis
