They contaminate the land and keep on killing indiscriminately downwind. A plant detonated in the middle east will kill people in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and probably Japan as well. Later on there will be rests in Hawaii and on our own west coast as the radioactive material spreads. In short the whole world will be mad as hell at whom-so-ever fires a nuclear weapon. Iran is no where near even having a weapon. So there's plenty of time to negotiate a settlement of some sort. But with this weak Presidency, trying to hold onto America's attention so as not to become totally irrelavent, they are heavily dependant upon turmoil and war and warmongering, and threat after threat to keep America frightened, because that's all they have left. What's happening in the middle east was "textbook" predictable! Not in the style of a seer peering in to the future, but in the manner of historians and foreign policy buffs, being able to predict what the likely outcomes are for various actions. Even as these predictions were proving true, Bush Adm., continues to studiously ignore them, and act as though no one actually knows anything. Or is able to figure anything out for themselves.
