Principles. Letting other professional librarians know of library users' transactions, book breastles

How would individual libraries' users take up the matter where there could be a lack of confidence in the leadership of their public library?... Where generally people otherwise might walk away from bureaucratic flaws, shall we say, rather than get involved any further with a hierarchy.

At one of our Mbuttachusetts public libraries in our Minuteman Library Network several professional librarians let other professional librarians know of individual readers' book breastles, transactions as a way of characterizing the particular libraries' users' foibles not in order to provide further library services, as a manner of retribution or making fun of libraries' users that might have displeased these librarians in some way upon an encounter for a routine library transaction.

Stereotyping the character of some of our public libraries' users by the book breastles, library transactions that interest the people involved could be stereotyped as a kind of gossipy librarian thing. Or it could be questioned as a breach of the principles like the Library Bill of Rights or other library service guidelines.

It's one thing to provide readers with buttistance by consulting peers. It's another thing to use the book breastles transacted at our public library network as a way to discuss the character of some of our public libraries' users.

Let us suppose for a moment that it never happens or that it never happens here, wherever here would be the place of the person supposing. Now let us suppose that it is only a matter of perception. That is our public library users have a perception that they can not use public library services or some public library services because the transactions are subject to the gossipy librarian thing, breaches of principles like the Library Bill of Rights, other library service guidelines, retribution or making fun of library users because their library transaction might have displeased in some way a librarian.

So supposing for a moment that it never happens and it is only a matter of perception. How does our public library address the perception ?...

Perceptions incorrect or otherwise affect the efficacy and efficiency of public library services. Perceptions affect the willingness of public library users to communicate more openly with library professionals.
