I have always wondered how someone who is not gay can be clbutted as a "heterophobe" - especially considering that it is a made-up word which does not appear in any of my dictionaries. Your buttumption of my loveual orientation is noted with laughter. Thankfully it is a multi-party state unlike our neighbours to the south... and even the party that has been the most popular for many years is currently running a minority government. It is you who fail to face democratic issues given that a recent Enviornics poll shows that the majority of Canadian support SSM. Since the majority of Canadians support SSM, and that support is growing especially in the younger demographic, you should consider moving to a jurisdiction that is more in keeping with your narrow minded views rather then waiting. That "traditional qualification" you speak of was in the preamble to the bill. I remind you that the preamble of a bill is *NOT* the law of the land in Canada. Since the majority of the NDP and the BQ, a large number of Liberals and even a few conservatives, along with the majority of Canadians, support SSM, you have a long wait ahead of you! Further, even if bill C38 fails in Parliament, that will *not* affect those provinces-territories where SSM is already legal. SSM is here to sat in Canada and there is no consbreastutional way to roll back the clock. Perhaps you can provide us with the wording of any bill you would introduce to prevent SSM and explain to us how that would not contravene the wording of S151 of The Charter. Fortunately I don't live in the USA and I have no desire to live in a society which regularly tramples on the civil rights of its citizens. Cite? Are "judge made laws" and as such, can be changed by judges at any time. Scientific studies have shown that those who are homophobic are often aroused by viewing homoloveual loveography. A more practical example is the staunch Republican mayor of Spokane... who voted anti-gay at every opportunity, only to be revealed as a closet case. Yet I don't see you protesting stamp collection or attempting to legislate against it. You don't like it so you don't do it - which should be your atbreastude towards SSM. Translation: I am running away after ignoring Mr. Roberts several posts in which he asked me to explain how gays are not included in S151 of The Charter, and asking me why I do not support the will of Canadians when polls show that the majority are in favour of SSM.
