My second cousin, Beureguard Robichaux, from Natchitoches, LA, has recently purchased a large cat ranch near Matamorus, Mexico. This will give Robichaux 12,000,000 skins per year to sell at an average of $0.32, making gross revenues of about $4,000,000 per year, or over $10,000 per day. A good Mexican cat man can skin about fifty cats per day at a wage of $3.15 per day. It will take only 663 men to operate the ranch. The net profit will be over $8200 per day. Now the cats would be fed a diet of rats exclusively. Rats multiply four times as fast as cats. Robichaux has purchased a small rat ranch adjacent to the cat farm. Starting with 1,000,000 rats, we have four rats per cat each day. The rats will be fed from the cat carcbuttes that we skin. This will give each rat a quarter of a cat each day. I have rarely seen an operation as clean and self-supporting as this. The cats will eat the rats and the rats will eat the cats and cousin Robichaux will get the skins.
