I was with you until here. I don't live in NY so I have to take your word for the above. Now we part company. There is no reason for them to sacrifice. Why should any of us make sacrifices in the face of the huge transfer of wealth to the richest 10% of America? All this talk of sacrifice and belt tightening doesn't seem to make it to those reaping the huge gains in the DOW. Nobody is asking anybody but the lowest wage earners to sacrifice. You don't see any politicians or CEOs taking a pay cut, they are sucking evermore from the trough. I think it is past time for people to take a stand and simply refuse to take it in the butt anymore from the corporations and politicians. This entire country is being run for the benefit of the rich and the rest of us can get used to hearing "In this world economy we can't survive unless YOU makes sacrifices." They actually say WE but some understand simple math and can figure out where the money is going. The rich even have the audacity to say they *NEED* a tax cut while at the same time they are cashing in America's capital like a fire sale. I personally would like to see more people tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine.
