Multiculturalism is just a disguise word for "you have tolerate me but I don't have to tolerate you". A common phenomena is a married couple moving here from Asia or Africa and the wife leaving the husband when she discovers she doesn't have to walk 3 paces behind or jump to his every beck and call and the husband doesn't want to adjust to the new reality. The husband was upset about something and he was slapping his wife around in public. He was outraged when he was arrested and the Korean consulate got involved. They said what he was doing was their culture and how dare we get in the way. It was explained that such behavoir was not our culture and he was in our country.I can only imagine the beating she got at home in Korea for making him lose face.
