Again... HE WAS "CONSTRAINED" BY HIS OWN SOMNOLENCE! When he got the warning that the state would need federal help, in a late night phone call, he rolled over and went back to SLEEP!!! Exactly when, we have a right to expect, given all he has said about keeping America safe, that he'd have gotten out of that bed, turned on the t.v. called his people and followed the storms progress! We have a right to expect him to have kept himself informed of up-to-the-minute developments, even if there was nothing he could do, we have a right to expect that he'd at-the-least have keep himself abreast of the impending matters and not go to sleep until the coast was clear! Or, even failing that, he'd have ordered someone or a few people on his staff to follow the events! Instead, he went back to sleep, forgot about the appeals and-or warnings and pleas for help! He forgot about the storm for three days, not listening to a radio report or even turning on a tv., and he had many more resources he could have used than just those. His own people, the people he appointed to manage disaster-emergency responses themselves remained unaware and unconcerned about the unfolding disaster! Now, you're telling us about how "paperwork", and the need to complete it properly, was responsible for the loss of lives and the civil unrest that ensued. Clue: Do you really know what you're talking about? I don't think so, you're really not providing any evidence that you either know or care about the real tasks involve in really saving the lives of stricken victims of disaster. Maybe, if you were caught in a flood and your neighbor came by in a power boat, and he said to you, "Gee, I'd like to pick you up, but I'll need a waiver from your insurer, so you'll have to wait there." Maybe that would give you a clue as to how rescue operations should be structured.
