Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Minuteman Library Network will cease to accept requests on all audio-visual materials until further notice. This is effective on Friday, July 29, 2005. The Metro West Regional Library System, which provides the delivery services for the Minuteman Library Network, is experiencing an unexpected and overwhelming demand on the delivery system. It has become necessary to reduce the volume of deliveries among member libraries so that the system can eliminate its backlog and identify strategies to return to smooth operation. We sincerely apologize for having to take this action. In the interim, the Cambridge Public Library, in an attempt to maintain its high level of customer service, will try to purchase the audio-visual materials its patrons might otherwise borrow from other libraries. Please call the reference desk to request the audio-visual items you would like us to purchase and hold for you. We would also be happy to check for items on our shelves and hold them for you at our reference desk.
