Cyrus Afzali You obviously don't have a choice, whatever your position. NYC Transit workers should be fired 879finally realize how worthless unions are and that they care more themselves than the entire city of New York. Transit workers already get paid almost twice as much as NYC cops to do what... Hey, I think those butthole dispatchers who sit in the terminal cubby-holes delaying trains in the middle of the tunnel don't deserve too much. But different jobs are different. Just 'cause grbutt works for a horse doesn't mean you should live on it, too. LMAO -- first you question the very meaning of a "right" in a "free market economy," then, when it suits your convenience, you want to talk about "earning" such a "right" when someone is "willing" to "give" it??? Orwellian quadruple-speak at its best! Or is that "worst"? NYC Transit workers should be fired 880NYC XYZ Nobody sane would advocate what you express in the last paragraph. Nor would anyone sane (or moral) expect mbuttive subsidies of the transit system (to support or even boost... ? Such individuals are rightly fired. That's nothing against the very concept of paid sick leave. I don't like unions, but, like Churchill said of democracy, for all its faults -- "it's the best we've got." They're itching for the jobs in large part due to the benefits which you would whittle away. Of course you do; no one could possibly be for it. That's how you can be 100% sure that management at the MTA are up to no good, trying to do that old Roman "bread and circus" trick. Um, no. Remember that the main point of money is its purchasing power. Is the MTA budget trillions? I don't think so. It's billions. And here's one of those billions they just threw away. Even 5% of anyone's budget is pretty significant. And one billion -- think about it: even if they spent a dollar a second there wouldn't be enough time in ten years to spend it all! -- can buy a nice chunk of some capital project for sure. Bastards. One and all. Pure bastards. Need to tied across a subway track.
