We have been alerted that some Chef Pronto products with a code date of August 2, 2005 have a possibility of containing Listeria monocytogenes, which could result in serious food borne illness. No illnesses have been reported at this time. The products affected are as follows:

=B7 Tortellini Grilled Chicken and Sun Dried Tomatoes

=B7 Grilled Chicken Strips

=B7 Grilled Chicken with Balsamic Vinegar and Rosemary

=B7 Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken

If you have purchased Chef Pronto products in the last ten days, DO NOT EAT THEM. Please return the container full or empty to any Trader Joe's for a full refund. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Consumers with food safety questions can call the toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at (888) 674-6854. The hotline is available in English and Spanish and can be reached from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Eastern Time) Monday through Friday. Recorded food safety messages are available 24 hours a day.
