If you had recalled the context, it was regarding people who entered seminaries years ago, when many entered in their early teens - maybe 13 or 14 years old. The age at which people enter Catholic seminaries has gone up substantially since then.

Not true at all - we were talking about social pressure to date the opposite love, get married, and have lots of bambinos. The gay kids were the ones pulled in two directions - one direction by their loveual orientation and the other by his family.

Let me ask you a simple question. Are you capable of holding an adult-level discussion without resorting to completely gratuitous vulgarities, or do you have the emotional maturity of a little boy? Oh, and if you want to start a non sequitur about spelling flamewars when I hadn't criticized your spelling, you might want to try to avoid ungrammatical sentences like the one starting with "You previous unsupported buttertion".

Now, what I claimed is that a therapist in our area who had treated a number of priests claimed that maybe 50% were actually gay. He also pointed out the early age at which prospective priests used to join a seminary (the context for his statements was the love abuse scandal and he was simply explaining how putting young impressionable teens in a loveually repressive environment can cause emotional problems later in life, and how that may have contributed to the problem.)

Which implies what I was saying: a kid who realized he was gay, or at least who realized that he wasn't attracted to women, and who was under considerable family pressure to live a "heteroloveual existence", would find becoming a priest an easy way out - he wouldn't have to marry, and a high status for priests would simply help eliminate any family objections.
