I have no way of knowing how many gay priests a therapists has seen... and certainly not what percentage they represented. I'd have no way of varifying such information, and no way of contradicting it except for introducing equally unvarifiable information. Nope. That ain't no basis for a discussion. So, instead of focusing in on a specific percentage (which you insist on pretending that your comments were limited to) my attention turned to the CONCLUSION. This is what I was disputing, this is what I have always been disputing and nothing more. No it doesn't. It does not. It in no way supports your conclusion that gay people are becoming priests to save themselves from a heteroloveual marriage. The only reason you can make such a claim -- and you did make it -- is by ignoring the fact that the priesthood is considered attractive in many cultures. Try to see things from the P.O.V. of some different cultures, instead of projecting your own views on others, and it's easy to imagine that if it weren't for the distraction of a heteroloveual option, more straight guys would become priests. In other words, in many cultures, those where a priest has status, all young men have an incentive to become priests, but only heteroloveual males also have an incentive for not becoming a priest. And you can't read what you yourself have written, even when re-quoted. In the grand scheme of things, I'd say that puts me in a better position than you.
