What is obvious is that you are grasping at straws! What this "obvious" fact suggests is that gays would not selectively choose the priesthood more than straights - at least not by enough to raise the percentage of gay priests to around 10 times the percentage of gays in the general population. The study appeared in a conference, not one a personal web site. This may surprise you, but conference papers are typically reviewed before being accepted (I"ve given talks at conference where 80% of the submissions were rejected, including ones from researchers at quite a number of prestigous insbreastutions, so it is not like that 80% had a lot of dummies in it).
