Religions routinely discriminate in ways that would never be tolerated or excused if practiced by any other organization or business. freedom any So? business. How? Why? Should Satanists and followers of voodoo get the same perks as more mainstream myth groups.... uh, I mean organized religions? Or only the religions that you consider acceptable? If I want to start a church that preaches that wife swapping is doing the work of God by taking the concept of "Love Thy Neighbor," to a whole new level in practice (not just lip service... so to speak), would that be fine and dandy with you? Can I get an Amen on that? And since they solicit and take in money from the public, don't they have any responsibilities to their customers? How many churches have gone out of business and church leaders gone to jail for doing things they shouldn't? And I'm not talking only about person priests within the Roman church. That, of course, is totally irrelevant. And that's just fine as long as that doctrine meets with your approval. in homoloveual The matter of homoloveuality aside, don't those churches have he right to decide *their* own theology? Or do they only have permission to practice what doctrine *you* have determined to be acceptable? reformation? Ask the Roman Catholic Church. Gee, since there's so much bullpoo going on in the name of God, maybe the government should protect the people by banning religion altogether, or at least regulating it for false advertisning. Certainly some of the bullpoo you're putting out there isn't anything like the teachings of Jesus. Good. I have antagonism toward bullpoo religious beliefs and they don't have anything to do with lust or politics. And while I fully support people subordinating their own minds to the whims of an archaic power play, I am of the notion that God is kinda tired of your bullpoo and hypocrisy. (At least that's what she indicated to me.) Maybe God is just f***ing with you. (Who says God doesn't have a sense of humor?) One might wonder how the church who claims to follow and espouse the teachings and example of Jesus so blatantly turns away from those teachings (and example) when the object of those teachings, and Jesus' love, is not politically acceptable to them. One wonder why people like you wrap themselves around he convenient parts of their myth yet turn away from the most basic tenets of your own myth club. Why do you scorn fellow beings created by God? Just because they act flamboyant and can design clothes? Sounds like some people only accept Jesus or God when it's convenient and hate those things which *aren't* as convenient. Then again, religion has little, if anything, to do with God.
