So, the updated number of entries in his book is now 36,700 and a witness reported to the police that Schwartzmiller claimed that number of molestations. Whether he lied or not is irrelevant - that is what he himself claimed if you believe the witness (who would face criminal charges if the witness made it up).

Second, he was in fact caught a number of times and convicted. describes how, by being a "self-taught jailhouse lawyer" who could file legal briefs written as well as bonafide atttorneys, he managed to get himself off the hook due to the misconduct of various prosecutors. In particular, it states:

So writing it off as "bullpoo" as you did would seem to be a tad premature. BTW, if the prosecutors had done their jobs properly, he'd have gotten a 25 year sentence at some point, which would at least have gotten him off the streets.
