You need proof? Empirical proof? Then go find it yourself. I don't need such proof. Neither does any other true believer in Jesus Christ, or anyone who would turn to him. Quite the opposite is true. God requires faith, for it is impossible for anyone to please him without it. (Hebrews 11:6.) Faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen. (Id., v. 1.) So, if I insist on empirical proof, as you do, then I would seek to ground my faith on fact. But if my faith is based on fact, it is no longer faith. My faith stands on the power of God, and not the wisdom of Men. (See 1 Corinthians 2:5 if you have a bible.) I know God exists because of his presence in my spirit, his providence and his blessings. I, therefore, don't need the kind of forensic evidence that you do. Right about this time, I can just imagine that you are thinking: "This is a cop-out, and a bunch of B.S." At least, it wouldn't surprise me if you thought that way. It is so typical. The Bible says so too. It says: "a natural mand does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised." (1 Corinthians 2:14.) It also says: "the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18.) John Wadsworth PS don't bother answering with one of your now famous one-liners. One of those and a dollar will buy me a cup of coffee, and you can guess which of the two does all the work. If you do, I just won't respond.
