I know of one study in the last decade that showed the more male children that are born into a family, the more likely it became that the later-born boys would be gay.

The gay guy down the street I mentioned earlier, who spends many of his weekends helping his other siblings, was 9th in a family of 12 children.

Of course, like all studies, the results are for groups as a whole. I know of one family with two children, a girl and a boy, both of whom were gay. Lucky for the gay siblings and this family as a whole, their parents were very accepting of them both.

When their children became adults, over the years the parents had both of their children and their respective long-time partners (the woman and her female partner have been together for 19 years and the man and his male partner have been together for 14 years now) to their home overnight. The same-love couples sleeping together at night was never an issue.

It is great to know there are parents who want their children, in their own lives, to be happy -- and not only by how the parents think their children *should* be "happy".
