I have an ancestor who signed the Declaration of Independence, several who rode with John Brown in Kansas, and one who was Lincoln's close friend and advisor (John Wallis Ewing), and in addition to that sterling abolitionist Republican pedigree, I am double cousins with the Democratic Illinois Stevenson. In the "old country" my ancestors include both the Bruce and Wallace. And on my father's side, among the farmers and fur trappers are also some Real Americans know as Iroquois.
