You should understand that vestigial does not mean just something left over by evolution but something with a reduced function. Humans are structually the same as they were 50,000 years ago but there's a difference in living conditions. We're healthier and live longer on average today. Previously people would lose teeth at an earlier age and there was greater wear and tear on the molars. So while a lot of people may not have space(most do however) for the 3rd molars today, in the past by the time they erupted (anywhere from 20-30 yo) they probably would have some damage or decay to the 1st or 2nd molars. If any of these molars are removed from disease or damage there would then be space for the 3rd molars. Wrong kid.
