Jeudy, who pleaded not guilty, is due back in Nbuttau County's 1st District Court July 25. Sources said investigators are also probing whether Jeudy helped his son cheat on the recent Math A Regents test and whether the son shared the answers. L.I. dad busted in HS test scam BY JOE MAHONEY DAILY NEWS ALBANY BUREAU CHIEF A Long Island buttistant principal allegedly stole the answers to a Regents history exam to help his son cheat, but a sharp-eyed proctor unraveled the ruse, officials said. Jericho High School buttistant principal Isben Jeudy, 40, was charged yesterday with official misconduct for allegedly snipping open the shrink-wrapped answer key to last week's global history exam and giving it to his son, Jerrell, 16. "To say this is disturbing is an understatement," a stunned Jericho School District Superintendent Hank Grishman told the Daily News. Teacher Matthew McDonald busted the 10th-grader last week while proctoring the exam at John Glenn High School in East Northport. State investigators said McDonald spotted writing on Jerrell Jeudy's hands that turned out to be an "exact copy" of answers to some 35 questions. Under state rules, the answer keys sent to schools across the state may not be opened until after the test is given. John Glenn officials immediately reported the incident to state Education Department officials. They in turn contacted Grishman - who found out the answer key packet had been prematurely opened and confronted Jeudy. Jeudy, who was in charge of test security for Jericho High, claimed the shrink wrap must have come off by accident, state investigator Kevin McCann said in the complaint charging Jeudy with official misconduct. The misdemeanor charge could land Jeudy in jail for up to a year. Jeudy, a native of Haiti, got his doctorate in education from St. John's University last year. The Uniondale school board hired him to be their high school principal next month. On Burr Ave. in East Northport, where Jeudy lives with his wife and three kids in a modest raised-ranch house, neighbors said the children are well-mannered. But a woman who answered the door at the family's home tersely declined comment. The Uniondale school board is to meet tonight behind closed doors to discuss his future. Jeudy, who pleaded not guilty, is due back in Nbuttau County's 1st District Court July 25. Sources said investigators are also probing whether Jeudy helped his son cheat on the recent Math A Regents test and whether the son shared the answers. With E.W. Blankenbaker
