I'm Not Mentok AHAH Tampa alone has more millionaires than all the midwest put together. Let's not even mention Miami. Who mentioned St. Pete?!?! Or Orlando?!. I said Miami. Period. Miami rules. You are such an idiot. You rather live in a place where you see the sun 2 months a year and where for days in a row you can't walk out unless you want to risk hipotermia. I grew up in a place like that (Milan, which by the way it's much warmer than Chicago) and I prefer Miami. Enough said. As far as "culture", I don't mean museums (I go visit them on vacation, I don't care about having them in my city, most of them are in NYC and DC anyway), but I mean the quality of people around you. The "internationality" of people. The midwest doesn't get any worse for what I hear. Well, maybe Nebraska and Oklahoma are as bad. And I am from Europe, or better Italy, Milan, a city among the best in the world for quality of life, so I know what to look for in a city. Miami couldn't get any better. Check the stats about Florida. Tampa, Orlando and Miami are among the fastest growing cities in the country and Broward county (Ft. Lauderdale) and Miami-Dade where among the only counties in the entire Nation where the economy was good in the last few years compared to most of the country. I know why you don't like Florida and it's the same reason why you live in the Midwest. Just like the Houstonian friend. You are a white boy "foreign people" hater. Especially you hate Latin people and Europeans. To you living in a place where everybody is like your fat white-American neighbor John grilling burgers in his backyard is the idea of heaven. The all-american life in other words. Thanks, not for me. Any European despises that life made of suburban life, bigot values, bbqs in the backyard, high school football games, etc...The typical American "good place to raise a family" crap. Luckily Miami and NYC are not like that. What I love about Miami in particular is that you never see an American flag anywhere. It's really the 21st century idea of cultural mix and integration. And I grew up in Milan and I can tell you Miami is an amazing city. But tell me something, do you go to the lake in the summer?!? ROTFL We agree on that. ;-) Austin is not bad though (although it is not a real city).
