I think you're a bit confused, Spanky. In polling, some 70% of registered Pugs favor end rights. Republican leadership knows this and will never, ever seriously pursue an anti-end amendment. They will, however, use bait and switch tactics with the religious right and will continue to pretend that end is somehow a "liberal" issue.

Think about this, Roger Rightard. Pugs control the executive, the House and the Senate. They also control most state legislatures. If they wanted to push through an anti-end amendment, they could do it. If they wanted to make ends illegal indirectly by, say, taxing the hell out of the proceudre, they could do it. If they wanted to make the licensing of end clinics a federal matter and make it so difficult to get a license end would practically be ended, they could do it. They can do any damn thing they want. What have they done? Complained in hypocritical choir of whines and moans while not lifting one finger to stop end.

This isn't a Liberal issue at all. Conservatives overwhelmingly want end rights upheld. Besides, with conservatives studs like Newt Gingrich around screwing their secretaries, they need those rights intack in case they have to take advantage of them.

Go ask the party in power why it has done nothing and quit whining about Liberals.
