This is what Christians are constantly whining about. Somehow, not doing things their way is an infringement from a terrible atheist conspiracy. I don't see any Christian churches being burned down, do you? Freedom from religion is implied in the Consbreastution. Nowhere does it say an American must be Christian. Those people are called religious extremists, and they're dangerous no matter what deity they claim to worship. Or, said another way, liberty demands the freedom to choose for oneself in all matters until it impinges upon the rights of others. For instance, forcing Jewish kids to engage in Christian rituals at public schools was always an infraction. Now Christians are whining non-stop that they have to stop this practice, and begin respecting the rights of others that they have for so long gotten away with ignoring. They might even have to acknowledge that there are other religions! OMG! Activist theocratic extremists are not compatible with a free society, regardless of which dogma is being forced upon their fellow countrymen. If they violate the rights of others severely enough, they should be punished as criminals. Conversely, any society which is ruled by or for theocratic extremists is, axiomatically, not a free society.
