Where the studies aren't flawed, the "facts" are just plain made up. For instance: If ANYONE can provide ANY basis of fact for this, I'll eat my shoes. For a counterexample, type "Cracker Barrel" and "homophobia" into any search engine and you'll see examples of people being fired for being gay. (It's still legal in many states, by the way.) It's sad that so much of our country bases their opinions on outright lies and fabrications. Mr. or Ms. Krieghund, I'd love to hear a rebuttal to this post, but I'm guessing you can't deal in facts.
