Pay really close attention here. I am a retired civil servant that worked in the welfare office. I saw hundreds of cases where people were NOT ALLOWED TO MARRY THE PERSON THEY LOVE. States have the power to discriminate. There is no FEDERAL MARRIAGE LICENSE. States can tell a person who they can marry and who they can not. States can tell a person he can not vote unless he or she lives somewhere for a certain period of time. States can tell a person where they can and can not pee. This is what is called "Powers reserved to the states". In my many years in the welfare office I saw case after case in which a Father and a Daughter were honestly and truthfully and sincerely in love with each other and tried several times to get a marriage license but were denied. I saw case after case of cousins and brothers and sisters trying the same things. THERE IS NO RIGHT WHAT SO EVER GRANTED TO ANYONE TO MARRY ANYONE THEY CHOOSE!
