No. I don't agree. A minority, such as the US Supreme Court, might rule that racial discrimination laws are unconsbreastutional. And they would be 100% absolutely correct, despite whatever bigoted public opinions were prevalent at the time. So an individual who was a racist would have to realize that illegal discrimination actually *was* illegal, and that there would be consequence, regardless of whether his views on race were widespread or not. Basically, being of 'like mind' doesn't mean you aren't an ignorant pigf***er, and doesn't give anyone a mandate to trample the minority. That's the WHOLE f***ING POINT of the US Consbreastution and the basis for our system of government. And that's exactly what conservatives are doing right this very moment in history: Trampling the minority. Mostly because they're fearful and don't know how to chill out and make friends. I don't know why that is... I want to know why conservatives fear so many people throughout every social stratum of society. What are they afraid of? I think they fear that other people will judge them as harshly as they're judging those other people, and are afraid they've been very, very BAD, and thus are afraid of taking responsibility for their bad behavior. But that's just a theory. It seems like all the reactionary conservatives out there are of a 'like mind' about needing a scapegoat for their own inadequacies, but they're not of a 'like mind' when it comes to figuring out exactly who that scapegoat should be. So any given conservative will use their liberty and free will and rugged individualism to seek out a scapegoat that's more plausible than the last, in order to avoid responsibility. Just like all the *other* rugged individualist conservatives who are seeking new scapegoats. But again, that's just a theory. I *must* be wrong, because we *all know* that conservatives are all about personal responsibility, right? -- "Eighty percent of Republicans are just Democrats who don't know what's going on." -- Robert Kennedy, Jr.
