the issue is that men are naturally more promiscuous than women ACLU sues for gays' benefits 1920well, the clbuttic old skool feminist theory regarding marriage and men was the "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle" there has... women "civilize" men and act as a sort of loveual gatekeeper it's not surprising that gay men have high levels of promiscuity, and lesbians don't because in a gay coupling, there is no woman to act as "loveual moderator" so to speak in the opposite love pairing, women are the "moderators' of that behavior so to speak imo, it's biological. men can impregnate hundreds of women in a year (save cultural and legal disincentives) in a pure "state of nature". but women can only get pregnant one at a time. that well explains (evolutionarily speaking) why men have a natural tendency to impregnate as many women as possible, but women are more likely to prefer a closer standard to monogamy a study on college campuses was telling an attractive woman and an attractive man were sent out to ask one of three questions to randomly chosen members of the opposite love 1) would you go out with me 2) would you come back to my apartment 3) would you have love with me women, in response to the attractive man had VERY low response to question 3, very low to #2 (but higher than 3) and about 50% or so to #1 men, otoh, had a very HIGH response to 3, high (but not as high) to 2, and about 50% for 1. like ANYBODY wouldn;'t have guessed that and of course, culture reinforces biology, such that women are taught to (to lesser or greater extent) to "hold out" and men are the ones pushing the envelope in a gay coupling, in SOME cases, one male plays the female moderator role, but it's not as ingrained as for a woman whit
